Ask five agencies in Pakistan what SEO costs and you will get five very different answers, from a few thousand rupees a month to several lakh. The price alone tells you little. What matters is what work is actually done each month, for how long, and how you will know it is working. This guide explains what each price level usually buys, the warning signs of SEO that will waste your money, and how to judge a quote.
Why SEO prices vary so much
SEO is not one product. A quote can cover anything from a one-time page fix to a full team writing content and earning links every month. Four things drive the price:
- Where you want to rank. Ranking a clinic for searches in Rawalpindi takes far less work than ranking an online store across all of Pakistan.
- How competitive your searches are. "Dentist in Saddar" has fewer serious competitors than "real estate agency Islamabad" or "study visa consultant Lahore".
- The state of your website. A slow site with technical problems needs fixing before anything else can work.
- How much content and link building is included. This is the work that takes the most time each month, and the part cheap packages usually skip.
What each price level usually gets you
| Monthly budget | What is usually included | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Under PKR 20,000 | Basic on-page changes, a monthly report, sometimes bulk directory or forum links | Very little. Check the work carefully (see the warning signs below) |
| PKR 25,000 to 60,000 | Local SEO: Google Business Profile, local citations, on-page fixes for key pages, a review plan, rankings reporting | Businesses serving one city or area, such as clinics, schools, showrooms, local agencies |
| PKR 60,000 to 150,000 | Technical audit and fixes, on-page work across the site, regular articles, link building, Search Console and analytics reporting | Businesses competing across a region or all of Pakistan |
| Above PKR 150,000 | A larger team: more content each month, digital PR, multiple locations or large sites | Large e-commerce stores, national brands, very competitive markets |
These ranges reflect what agencies in Pakistan commonly quote. Your own quote should list the actual work, not just the price.
What TwinkleTara charges, and why
We publish our prices so you can compare like for like:
- Local SEO: PKR 40,000 a month, for businesses serving Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It covers your Google Business Profile, local citations, a review growth plan, on-page fixes for five key pages and a monthly rankings report and call.
- SEO Growth: PKR 85,000 a month, for businesses targeting all of Pakistan. It adds a full technical audit and fixes, on-page work across the site, two SEO articles a month, link building and digital PR.
Both have a six-month minimum, because rankings take months to build and anyone promising page one in a few weeks is not being honest with you. Combining SEO with a paid ads package saves 15%. All our package prices are on the packages page.
Warning signs of SEO that wastes your money
- Guaranteed first position. No one controls Google's rankings. A guarantee usually means they will rank you for a phrase nobody searches.
- "1,000 backlinks a month." Large numbers of cheap links from unrelated or spammy sites can hurt your rankings rather than help them.
- No access to your own accounts. Your Google Search Console, Google Business Profile and analytics should be in your name, with the agency added as a user.
- Reports full of rankings, but no leads. A good report shows traffic from search, calls, WhatsApp messages and form enquiries, not just positions.
- No clear list of monthly work. If you cannot see what was done this month, assume very little was.
How long until SEO pays off
Expect the first signs in two to three months, such as more searches showing your site and better positions for less competitive phrases. Meaningful leads usually follow between month four and month eight, sooner for local searches and later for competitive national ones. If you need enquiries this month, run Facebook ads or Google ads alongside SEO while it builds.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Which searches will you target, and how many people search for them each month?
- What exactly will you do each month, and how will I see it?
- Will my Search Console, Business Profile and website stay in my name?
- How will you report leads, not just rankings?
- What happens if I stop after the minimum term?
